With a view to encourage players and make the events interesting, we award various prizes during the event and one such concept is 'Best Game' award. This idea was basically suggested by IM Sagar Shah and IM Vishal Sareen and during the inaugural edition of IIFL Wealth Mumbai International Chess Tournament last year and it was well received by one and all.
The prizes are in the form of 'Chessbase Account' - a useful (must) tool for all chess players! And, in continuing this tradition, Chessbase India has once again come forward to award this prize for the National Amateur Chess Championship 2016. The games are adjudicated by IM Sagar Shah and his team for round 1, they have declared Om Vinay Vitalkar as the winner for his game against Hetvi Pethad. We congratulate Om and wish him further success!
